We had a real good time in their place. We felt like home from the first second. They offer us the possibility to enjoy the local food from their own garden !! Ojochal is an oasis inside a wonderful country. We can only recommend to all to stay there. Be careful 3 days are not enough !!

If you only have 1 week in Costa Rica…spend it all here!  Oh my gosh, I fell in love with this place immediately.  My fiance and I stayed in Mal Pais for 4 days before arriving in Ojochal and while I enjoyed Mal Pais and everything it has to offer, this area is just so amazing!  Casa Rica is gorgeous and, as everyone has said, Mac and Sharon are the best hosts.  We enjoyed hanging out by the pool, drinking coffee and staring at the clouds/mountains while sitting in the gazebo, walking around and checking out all of the wildlife, etc.  There is so much to do around here I really wished we had more time.  We went to the Uvita waterfall which was cool, Playa Uvita and “The Whale’s Tail”, Playa Ventanas and El Castillo/Azul to watch the sunset (this is a must do – it will take your breath away).  There are some really good restaurants around here too and most take cards which is nice.  Save room for dessert at Exotica.  They gave us some sort of ice cream sorbet with raspberry sauce and it was like nothing I have ever had before.  I just can’t say enough about this place.  Magical, relaxing and refreshing!

Sharon and Mac’s place was absolute heaven!  My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and it was the perfect place to unwind from chilly cold San Francisco.  The grounds were beautifully landscaped with fruit trees and chickens running around.  We used the cold plunge pool at least twice a day.  We also loved the town of Ojochal.  Really excellent food with lots of variety.  Next time we come to Costa Rice we are coming straight to Sharon and Mac’s!

We stayed with Mac and Sharon at Casa Bambu for 5 nights and had a excellent time!  They were very helpful in giving us advice on places to eat and see.  We definitely would recommend this as a place to stay in on the Pacific coast.  The little town of Ojochal was a highlight of our trip and close to all types of sights on the coast.  We even got engaged en la Casa Bambu!

Our stay in Bali Rica was a really great experience overall! The Cabina is exactly as advertised, the grounds are beautifully landscaped and Sharon and Mac are a lovely couple.  They were responsive, helpful in recommending activities, and care very much about their guest’s experience with them.   Especially in comparison with most other accommodations we saw in southern Costa Rica, this place is truly unique! Pro’s: * Grounds and environment are lovely and relaxing. * Sharon and Mac are present and available for pretty much anything you need – they even give you a local cell phone to use! * Price is excellent. * The cabina has a great Asian tropical feel, the bed is comfortable, plenty of fans to keep the air moving, plentiful hot water, and a kitchen good enough to cook a very respectable Christmas dinner! * Ojochal (p. oh-ho-CHAL) definitely has the best food in southern CR, very close to fine dining experiences. Con’s: * Count on a 4-5hr drive from the airport, you need to take in to account getting lost.  🙂 * Anything off the main road in CR is basically off-roading, we recommend getting a car with 4WD, you’ll have a much more comfortable drive to Bali Rica. * It is the rain forest, and insects are a part of that – it is more their home that yours.  We had a problem with big black ants showing up in large numbers on our bed, which was not injuring, but uncomfortable. * The soaking pool is beautiful, but in the shade and for us it was too cold to swim in. * Most activities are on average at least 20-30 min away, which is generally fine – but we found we had to do a lot of driving, including to restaurants in Ojochal.  Everything is rather spread out and it is all gravel/rock roads that are only loosely maintained.  A lot people walked as reported here, but we found the distance to Ojochal to be too far and dark to walk for dinner! We certainly recommend Bali-Rica for hose who are interested in exploring this sleepy southern part of CR, it was very relaxing and we enjoyed ourselves very much!

What a wonderful, unique, property – just the kind of R&R we were looking for. Mac and Sharon have created a tropical lifestyle that most of us would envy. We stayed in their Balinese designed casita and it was pertfect in every sense; the open design let nature in while all the creature comforts were close at hand. Sitting in the soaking pool at night during a downpour was exhilarating; watching a toucan while eating breakfast a thrill. There is a lot to do and see in this little community so its remoteness is not an issue. Recommended without hesitation..

Casa Rica was everything I wanted and more: Beautiful grounds, lovely hosts, and a location perfect for exploring mountains, beaches, and rivers. Just looking back at the pictures of the house and gardens makes me homesick!  Mac and Sharon were amazing. They have great tips on what to see and do in the area, and they really go the extra mile to make Bali Rica feel like a home away from home.  They even brought us a couple slices of pumpkin pie the day after Thanksgiving.  Definitely rent a car when you come. The area is not very densely populated, so you’ll want wheels if you’re going to explore. The Sierpe river tour is a great little day trip away, and El Castillo and Playa Ventanas were our favorite local spots. El Castillo at sunset is a must!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Rica. If I had to sum up our experience using one word only, it would be paradise.  When you visit, please don’t miss the short hike thru the trail down to the creek. The McIver’s have created a real gem here.  We would definitely go back again.

The place was perfect! And that all I have to say about that!

We have absolutely zero complaints. Our stay was comfortable and although we didn’t have a chance to meet Mac (he was away on business), Sharon was an excellent hostess that went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful honeymoon.  The plunge pool was just perfect for the two of us. The balinese gazebo was wonderfully relaxing during the rainy season. We enjoyed walking around the property and exploring the nearby stream.  The town of Ojochal is perfectly quaint and has delicious restaurants in a wide price range. There were so many places and things to explore (even with some of the places closed in the month of October). Sharon gave us greats ideas of things to do and sites to see. I would 100% recommend Casa Rica to others, and we hope we can come back for a second visit.

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Sharon and Mac’s lovely home.  Our bali style casita was so stylish, peaceful and very private.  We had every amenity to make our stay comfortable and relaxing.  The plunge pool was refreshing. I enjoyed a private yoga class on their yoga platform.  The grounds of the property are stunning, and the walks we took in their neighborhood were great.  The property itself is easily accessible, and located near top notch restaurants. Sharon and Mac are gracious hosts, and they provided us with information on the area. We loved every minute of it.  Thank you Sharon and Mac for sharing your property with us.

We stayed at the Casa Bambu for a weekend, and it was very nice. The house was so nice with a great bed, kitchen and a very nice covered terrace. Mac and Sharon would give us nice recommandations of experiences to visit in the area. We felt like home.

Not sure where to start – but i will keep this brief – I have traveled all over the world and this was by far the most magical trip & location – accommodations, food (local restaurants), location. The balinese casita was so charming and I felt like i was in Bali – the grounds are beautiful and lush, the extra touches Sharon & Mac provide (cell phone I know right? banana bread, fresh eggs from the hens) the dipping pool was wonderful – the weather in the summer is cooler than the winter or spring during dry season – so don’t let the rainy season detour you! The sun shined in the mornings and the rain was so refreshing in the afternoon evenings! I slept like a baby the entire time! I will be back many times and bring friends and family to share this most magical place 🙂

Casa Rica is more beautiful than you can imagine.  Seeing the pictures is one thing, but arriving and seeing it in person is a whole other experience.  Sharon and Mac do an excellent job of keeping the place looking like a tropical paradise, with beautiful landscaped gardens, plants, and trees.  Walking around the grounds was a point-of interest.  There is so much to see on their 5 acres.  Everyday smelled like fresh flowers.  Every morning the sounds of birds would wake you up and the sounds of crickets, frogs, and nightlife lulled you to sleep.  We couldn’t have stayed at a more perfect place.  It truly made our experience in Costa Rica memorable and we want to come back very soon!

I could not have found a more charming place to stay in Ojochal and better hosts than Mac and Sharon. I picked up this town to explore various parts of the Zona Sur (after visiting the Caribbean coast and the Zona Norte) because of the pictures I saw of Casa Rica and its tropical contemplative garden. I have travelled extensively in Asia and I immediately felt that I would love staying in this house shipped from Bali and rebuilt in Costa Rica. I even completely changed the schedule of my trip when I found out that the house was not available for the dates I initially wanted. I spent five days at Casa Rica and my experience was beyond my expectations. The architecture of the house is absolutely beautiful and its design makes it very comfortable to live in. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare simple meals (if you do not want to eat everyday in one of the many excellent restaurants in Ojochal), and the shower in the bathroom is the absolute best I had of all the places I rented in Costa Rica. The whole house is tastefully decorated, spotless, and the private pool a very nice plus to cool off after a hot and humid day of excursion. The grounds around the house are a feast for the eyes and all senses (there is a huge Ylang Ylang tree just next to the house). Even though there are many activities and daily excursions to do around Ojochal, one person could easily take a whole vacation just by staying at Casa Rica and simply enjoying the beauty of this place. I walked the trail to the creek every day, walked the labyrinth twice, added fresh fruits from the garden in my daily homemade cocktail (yes there is a blender in the kitchen and you should take advantage of it), befriended the happy house chickens who gave me delicious fresh eggs to include in my meals in more than one occasion, tried the different Balinese pavilions in the garden to meditate, joined the Yoga session on Tuesday morning in the Rancho, and booked a massage with Sharon, which I highly recommend since it is one of the best massage I ever had. Thank you Mac and Sharon for your hospitality, kindness, and graciousness.

My girlfriend and I had a great time staying at Casa Bambu. Sharon and Mac are incredibly thoughtful hosts and Ojochal is a perfect escape. Can’t say enough about the town: delicious food, great beaches, easy access to all kinds of activities. And can’t say enough about Sharon and Mac: great recommendations for activities, provided homemade banana bread and fresh fruit while we were there, provided a local cell phone and internet connection. They really do anything to make your sure you enjoy your stay. I would recommend having a rental car while visiting (and Sharon and Mac helped us find a local rental right around the corner that worked out perfectly since we initially took a private shuttle down to Ojochal). We can’t wait to go back…

My husband and I just spent 4 days at Casa Rica and they were amazing. We simply cannot wait to return!  Ojochal, the rural town where Casa Rica is located, is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful restaurants, bakeries and nearby gorgeous beaches, mountains and rivers. In the 4 days we were there we did not waste a second! We had fresh wonderful meals, (both homemade and in local spots) went swimming in the ocean (Ventanas and Uvita) as well as in a swimming hole at the bottom of a waterfall, we did an exciting 5 hr ATV tour in Uvita, went on a mangrove tour in the Sierpe river and, to top it off, got unbelievable massages at Palm Spa. Our trusty rental car drove us around for over 800km over our week long vacation in Costa Rica and most of these miles were around Casa Rica. Our car ended up working fine, though I would recommend guests rent an SUV instead of a low car, since most of the roads are not paved. The grounds of Casa Rica are simply breathtaking. The beautiful Balinese gazebo proved to be the ideal place for our morning coffee and meditation and the plunge pool was perfect for getting refreshed after a long day of mountain adventures in the rainforest.  Sharon and Mac’s impressive gardens are a sight to explore (and to taste!) Our home made breakfasts were made up of eggs from the hens that roamed around our little house and star fruit and bananas picked fresh from the fruit trees (not to mention the delicious banana bread that Sharon had baked for us!) Sharon is such a gracious and helpful host. She even gave us a cell phone for us to use so we could reach her with any questions or contact any local restaurant or info center to make reservations. 🙂 We truly felt like we were at home in our little, peaceful house in the mountains. We highly recommend Casa Rica to everyone. It truly is heaven on earth!

What a treat! Casa Rica was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to unwind from our city-life. The property is a great mix of flora and fauna. The fruit trees helped keep us nourished after our walks to the beach, and Sharon was a great host and provided us with homemade banana bread. Speaking of Sharon and Mac, they really have thought of everything- they provided a cell phone for us to use in case we needed to ask them anything, they offer use of the mountain bikes to get around, and the shower in Casa Rica was something to look forward to after a day sweating and getting sandy. Their dogs were really friendly, too. Ojochal has some great restaurants- Citrus was a favorite of ours and Mama e Papa’s hit the spot for great bruschetta and a pizza craving. Nearby Playa Tortuga was so beautifully pristine. We didn’t rent a car, instead hiring a driver from SJO airport to get us to Casa Rica the same day for about $200, but there are cheaper bus options as well. For our three day stay, we found that we didn’t need a rental car because we mainly stayed here for access to the beach (it’s about a 45 minute sweaty walk to Playa Tortuga or 20 minute bike ride to Playa Tortuga). It’s about a 20 minute walk to some of the great restaurants there. However, we would recommend renting a car if you want to go on any excursions, see some of the national parks, or do any other activities such as zip-lining or rafting or surfing. We had planned to stay somewhere else after Casa Rica in order to take advantage of those activities so getting around wasn’t an issue for us. Thank you Sharon and Mac for a FANTASTIC stay!

Casa Rica was the perfect retreat for our honeymoon. Secluded, surrounded by beautiful hikes and beaches, and in a town with amazing restaurants, there were just too many things to see and do. Mac was very helpful at pointing us to hikes and the property is beautiful and has a few trails itself. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit again.

My husband and I spent the month of May in Casa Rica. May is a slow time in Costa Rica with morning sun until 1-3 PM and afternoon rain many days. The sun goes down at 6:00 PM. If you go in May consider this when planning your activities.  Sharon and Mac were the perfect hosts providing any comfort requested and the information and guidance needed to find treasured spots like Sierpe and Drake Bay. The grounds keeper was so kind as to bring us fresh coconuts to drink the water and enjoy a local treat. And the cleaning lady always cut fresh tropical flowers for us. It was also so kind of Sharon and Mac to provide mobile Internet and a local mobile phone for our use making it much easier to get around and always stay connected.  The property is under stated in the description. The private gated grounds are a gardener’s paradise with blooming tropical flowers, many humming birds, small geckos, hiding iguanas and birds of all colors shapes and sizes. The accommodations are modest but highly comfortable and clearly designed with taste. The kitchenette is perfect for preparing your own food. It can be pretty warm this time of year and the dipping pool was ideal for cooling off after a long hike or day out. But my favorite was the abundance of hot water in the beautiful stone shower with waterfall shower head.  Ojochal is another understated gem. The town is just off the highway for easy access to the plethora of local beaches, national parks and day trip locations. If you want to experience Costa Rica with the locals in a safe and less-touristy area but not give up too many comforts Ojochal is the place. This small village boasts some amazing restaurants, a divine bakery and a wonderful relationship between the “gringos” and the local “Ticos.” People in the area are friendly and open. Within just one month we made several new local friends. Be sure to stop into Citrus or Adelante as these locations seem to be essential resources of information about markets, services not advertised like manicures and haircuts  as well as what is going on in town.   Maybe not for everyone but we were training for a 10K race and ran past 3 beaches on our 10K loop from the property. Ventanas is a must for its caves. During high tide the explosions of water coming through are breathtaking; during low tide you can walk into the caves and enjoy a wide beach.  We also hiked quite a bit and beautiful views of the bay and beaches could also be found by just hiking directly from the property up the adjacent mountains.  I highly recommend this property and location and wish Sharon and Mac the best. It is clear that this property is designed with love and we were grateful to be able to share it. We will miss you, Rica, Lesper and Daisy too!

The place was very nice: open, spacious, and private, with a host of birds to watch during the stay.  The location offered a wide variety of tours and adventures to have, and groceries and restaurants were close by.  Sharon and Mac were wonderful hosts that gave us help and privacy.  I would recommend this for any couple of single guest.  Great time.

We had an amazing stay! Sharon & Mac were very gracious hosts!   They were extremely helpful with wonderful recommendations for things to do & places to eat. They even let us use a cell phone & USB internet connection. We loved everything about the property; the flora, fauna & especially the private dipping pool. My husband and I stayed in March 2012 & were lucky enough to be there the night the region received its first big rainfall of the season. What a glorious sound the rain made upon the roof top. It was the perfect lullaby! The next morning we awoke to the sounds of toucans & howler monkeys. It was a truly adventurous vacation. Thank you Sharon & Mac for everything! We wish we could have been able to stay longer.
  • Ylan

Casa Rica is the best: the Balinese cottage was very charming and comfortable (great beddings/shower), the garden surrounding very lush, the fragrance of flowers intoxicating, the plunge pool refreshing, lots of bird and butterfly activity, location not too far from the highway and yet so private and quiet as if in the middle of the jungle, but best of all, Sharon and Mac were super hosts!!! treated us to homemade banana bread (bananas from the garden), fresh coconut water (also from the garden), fresh herbs and vegetable, fresh eggs from the house chicken!!! We stayed there 5 days and that was not enough time, we will certainly come back for longer!!!
  • Taryn

Casa Rica is wonderful!  The private cottage, dipping pool and Bali bed were beyond our expectations.  The park like setting never stopped calling us to explore all of the nooks and crannies. Mac and Sharon have created a most beautiful and intimate getaway, that is perfect for anyone wanting a little slice of paradise.  Best yet, they are just as lovely as the space they have created. I would go back in a heart beat!
  • Vera

Casa Rica is a wonderful little cottage in Indonesian style amidst a beautiful garden which comes right after paradise – at least by European standards. Sharon and Mac are friendly and helpful hosts who are very keen on preserving their guests’ privacy. We highly recommand spending an afternoon on the gazebo outside while enjoying the view to the mountains and the beauty that surrounds you.  Don’t miss the excellent retaurants in Ojochal, especially Citrus and Exotica.
  • Justine

Casa Rica is wonderful.  Sharon & Mac were lovely hosts.  They completely respected our privacy and wehn we did see them they were very helpful.  The little house is perfect for two.  We cooked our breakfast each morning and then ate dlunch and dinners out.  The plunge pool is amazing.  Very relaxing and atmosphere. I definitely suggest a 4×4 vehicle to take advantage of exploring the country. You don’t need one at Sharon & Macs, but its definitely easier with one. Sharon met us when we got there & gave us a cell phone to use. We never needed it, but it was nice to have in case of emergency.  Thank you Sharon & mac.

Balinese Jungle Eden

My husband and I stayed at both Casa Rica and Casa Bambu during our stay in Costa Rica and we truly felt that Mac and Sharon’s beautiful properties were the simply magical. The gardens are breathtaking; they have created a Balinese jungle Eden located in a small quaint French-Canadian town called Ojochal, pronounced Ohochal. The general atmosphere is peaceful and positive and if you have a chance, I highly recommend getting a massage at the Spa. Sharon is one of the best masseuses I have ever been to! The plunge pool was my husband’s favorite place to be and it was really nice to be able to take a dip during the day. And we especially liked taking relaxing walks and meditating in the various reflection spots located on trails running throughout the property. The property also has lots of yummy things to eat fresh from their garden: We ate their fresh bananas daily, fresh eggs from their happy chickens, and fresh coconut water – all we needed to do is ask their wonderful gardener Minor to cut down the coconuts for us. There are many restaurant options to eat at in a variety of price ranges – all within walking distance (longest 15-20 minutes) with much to experience and see surrounding Ojochal. Both Mac and Sharon are the loveliest hosts making us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. They really have figured out the perfect way balancing being very helpful while never overstepping on their guest’s privacy. We will definitely be going back to Costa Rica and we plan to come back to the Casa Rica or Casa Bambu again.

We were so impressed with Costa Rica in general and Sharon and Mac as hosts that when we wanted to travel somewhere it was easy to decide to make a second visit to Casa Rica. In the year since our first visit they have added a second guest cottage that will be great when we travel with friends in the future. All the things we enjoyed so much on our first visit were even better since we were familiar with the area. There is plenty to do, the property is conveniently located and it has everything you could need. We highly recommend this property as well as Sharon and Mac as very accomodating and friendly hosts. We look forward to going again in the future.

This is a beautiful cabin with eastern influence and artistic touches. Clean, comfortable, and wonderful hosts who go the extra mile to make your vacation in the Central Coast of Costa Rica extra special by providing a phone and internet card. We especially enjoyed the “refreshing pool” at Casa Rica and the sweet scent of the Ylang Ylang tree that met us at dusk every evening. Great restaurants and tours available in the area. We recommend those leaving from Sierpe on gthe Osa Penninsula – where you can snorkel and see animals and birds galore.

We enjoyed out 10 stay along with the many day trips to the surrounding area which offers something for everyone. Chill out in the plunge pool or relax on the porch in one of the comfortable chairs. The kitchen was appointed well enough to prepare simple meals. The bed was comfortable and the house was very clean and inviting with natural wood finishes. Mac and Sharon were great hosts and offered as much information as a person wanted but did not intrude on our space. They were out of town when we landed, but had made arrangements for us to be met by a lovely person who saw that we we settled in. The grounds keeper was charming and brought us fresh fruit and fresh cut coconuts. What a treat! Sharon made sure our needs were met and brought a IPod docking station as promised per earlier emails. Be sure to try to take the time to visit one of the many waterfalls in the area surrounding Ojachal. I can recommend staying here and plan to do so again.

My week long stay at Casa Rica couldn’t have been more relaxing and fun at the same time. The Balinesian style “casita” is cozy and completely comfortable with a full kitchen and spacious bath. The plunge pool is great after an afternoon of nearby beach or zipline adventures and the gazebo is heavenly. What a great place to sit outdoors, surrounded by the beautiful plantings, watching and listening to the many tropical birds, and seeing the mountains off in the distance. And the Palm Spa right on the premises! Massage, facials, herbal outside bath–I’m ready to go back to this property! Oh, can’t forget the wide choice of top quality restaurants just minutes away! The whole place is a little Paradise.

A paradise nest

Catherine & Chris      Old Bridge, NJ
Review Submitted March 10, 2011      Date of Stay February 25, 2011

A paradise nest great for re-centering and two of the most gracious and welcoming hosts. Not only is Casa Rica so close to great beaches like Ventanas and Uvita (where even a beginner can learn to surf), plenty of restaurants with an array of cuisines, and friendly Ticos, but Casa Rica itself is securely nestled on a beautiful property. You can enjoy the view of the humbling mountains from the gazebo bed and “veg out”, or stroll though the serene trails on the grounds and admire luscious greenery, vibrant flowers, and all kinds of insects. And let’s not forget the shower which feels so good after a day out and about or at the beach catching waves. Casa Rica is well equipped and comfortable. The Bali style of the house emits a paradise quality all on its own. Though you should always keep your wits about you when visiting a foreign country, staying at Casa Rica makes it feel much safer. We utilized the kitchen for all of our breakfasts, some of our lunches and a couple of our dinners. It helps with the budget but not necessary if you don’t feel like cooking. But if you do take advantage of the kitchen, it is certainly well equipped and there’s a store in town stocked with food supplies. Sharon and Mac are so accommodating and an absolute pleasure to meet. They are very knowledgeable and can offer great tips to enjoying all the great things Costa Rica has to offer. Most definitely book a massage with Sharon…..you’ll be so glad you did. And if you can spare, do the Bush bath. It will take any lingering worries away. If you want to take a nice jump into a waterfall bigger than nearby Uvita’s, check out Don Lulo’s horseback riding tour to Nauyaca Waterfalls. It was our favorite tour and well worth the money with a yummy breakfast and lunch included. We sincerely look forward to returning to Casa Rica and seeing Sharon and Mac. Without these three key factors, Costa Rica wouldn’t have been one of our top favorite (if not THE favorite) on our ever-growing list of places to visit.

This place is beautiful! The pictures are exactly what you get. You even get more! The cabin is on the same gated property as the owners and the gardeners house. Although being close enough for safety, you can’t see the two other houses on property. The rich gardens give plenty of privacy and we did see many birds. The pool is great and also very private. Sharon’s massage is definately worth going for, and her spa is great. Sharon and Mac are both very friendly and helpful, they want you happy! The town of Ojochal is also charming and has many good restaurants. The beaches are close and beautiful. Our only regret: we only had 5 nights! Enjoy!

We just returned from a four week stay at this beautiful location. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we were very happy with our choice to stay near the town of Ojochal which was just off a main road. The town is small but has a surprising number of businesses including several excellent restaurants. The accomodations are exactly as presented but it is difficult to see how peaceful and beautiful it is from the pictures. We like that it is close to activities but very private. The meditation gazebo just next to the pool is a relaxing spot any time and has a mountain view that is impressive. Our favorite beach (Playa Ventanas) was nearby, beautiful, safe and never crowded. Mac and Sharon are respectful of privacy and were very helpful in pointing us to activities we were interested in as well as being close by if we needed anything. The front porch is a nice place to sit and look at the beautiful and well kept grounds as well as the many birds and butterflies that are attracted to the fruit trees. We were extremely pleased with our stay in every regard and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Great time.

Casa Rica is a wonderful little cottage in Indonesian style amidst a beautiful garden which comes right after paradise – at least by European standards. Sharon and Mac are friendly and helpful hosts who are very keen on preserving their guests’ privacy. We highly recommend spending an afternoon on the gazebo outside while enjoying the view to the mountains and the beauty that surrounds you. Don’t miss the excellent restaurants in Ojochal, especially Citrus and Exotica.

Casa Rica is wonderful. Sharon & Mac were lovely hosts. They completely respected our privacy and when we did see them they were very helpful. The little house is perfect for two. We cooked our breakfast each morning and then ate lunch and dinners out.
