Bali Rica is located on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica in what is called the Costa Ballena or Whale Coast because of the nearly year-round presence of humpback whales and a unique beach formation that looks like a whale’s tail. Bali Rica is under a mile off the scenic and paved Costa Rican Coastal Highway in the village of Ojochal. 4wd is not necessary. We are approximately a 3 1/2 hour drive from the San Jose International Airport, about 30 minutes from the Palmar Norte airport or 45 minutes from the Quepos airport.
